Delicious Autumn

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it,
and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth
seeking the successive autumns." ~George Eliot

Photographed in Halls Mills, Neversink, New York, USA.
This is a Town Lattice bridge, built by David Benton and John Knight, in 1912. The bridge spans 130 feet. It was placed on National Historical Registry, but that may have been revoked as it has since been sold by the town, and is privately owned.
This is NY's youngest covered bridge, and has now sustained substantial damage from Hurricane Irene, threatening the loss entirely of this bridge.
